We can’t promise to find you a superstar but we can promise a massive effort backed up by the total commitment you only get from a workaholic with a passion for his trade.

For starters, we only know sales, technical and general management, but we do know these disciplines inside out and at expert level. We also know how important it is to get an appointment right first time.

There are some superb people in packaging, but also an awful lot could be best described as ‘ordinary’, and dare we say somewhat overpaid. Selling and management involves a transferable skill set…and we specialise in unearthing talented, hungry people.

If we do it properly we will have the top side of 50 strong applicants. The CV helps a bit; well, it gives us an address and a phone number, but it’s hardly a substitute for a probing conversation that strikes right to the heart of the matter. Tedious, we grant you, time consuming, extremely, but it simply has to be done. Digging out stale CVs from a dusty filing cabinet and mailing them off whilst crossing fingers has surely had its day.

Bottom line – we probably make forty 15-minute phone calls, we probably see 15 people face to face for at least an hour each. The real bottom line – about 3 seriously good candidates come out the other end. We’ll then spend a day together; putting them through their paces at a comprehensive Selection Centre. Just being able to sit a good interview will not be enough for candidates; we’ll systematically check their core competences.

The result will be a sales person or manager that can read, write and do sums; they’ll be well-rounded, extremely likeable, and be able to sell / manage and present well to a range of personalities.
